Pomegranate NFC Juice 15-16%
IQG Foods produces pomegranate juice concentrate in Egypt at 63-65% Brix from fruit harvested between September and November. The juice is pressed, clarified and concentrated under vacuum with no additives or preservatives, then packed aseptically for an 18-month shelf life at ambient temperature. Reconstitutes to single strength at 15-16% Brix.

Four Times the Fruit per Tonne
Pomegranate juice at single strength runs 15-16% Brix. Concentrated to 63-65%, the same fruit solids travel in roughly a quarter of the weight.
Freight, insurance and port handling are charged on weight and volume, never on solids. For a buyer importing across a long sea route, a container of concentrate carries about four times the finished juice of a container of NFC — and that difference is larger than every other cost in the comparison put together.
Reconstitution is a blending step. Roughly four parts water to one part concentrate returns it to 15-16% Brix, and the ratio holds because the Brix band is tight at two points.
What concentration also does is sharpen the product. Acidity climbs to 4.2 to 6.5 and pH falls to 2.60 to 3.70 — far more aggressive than the single-strength juice. That acidity is useful in its own right: concentrate is bought as a souring and colouring agent in sauces, marinades and blends where no dilution happens at all.
What to Ask Before You Order
Pomegranate concentrate is not a single product. The ratio band of 9.7 to 15.5 covers a real spread, and where a batch sits inside it changes what the juice does in a formulation.
At the low end the concentrate is sharp and the acid dominates — useful for a sauce or a marinade, and for blending with sweeter fruit that needs cutting. At the high end it is rounder and reconstitutes into something closer to a drinkable juice on its own.
Tell us which end suits your line and we blend to it across the season rather than shipping the band. That is a straightforward thing to specify and it saves correcting at your end.
The three-month harvest from September to November is what we blend from. We press within the window rather than holding fruit in cold store, which is what keeps the deep ruby colour through concentration — anthocyanins degrade with heat, and starting from tired fruit means finishing brown.
