Orange Concentrate 63-65%
IQG Foods produces orange juice concentrate in Egypt at 63-65% Brix. The juice is pressed, clarified and concentrated under vacuum with no additives or preservatives, then packed aseptically for an 18-month shelf life at ambient temperature. Reconstitutes to single strength at 11-12% Brix.

The Freight Arithmetic
Orange juice at single strength runs 11-12% Brix. Concentrated to 63-65%, the same fruit solids travel in roughly a fifth of the weight.
That ratio is the entire commercial case. Freight, insurance and port handling are charged on weight and volume, never on solids content — so a container of concentrate carries about five times the finished juice of a container of NFC. For a buyer importing across a long sea route, that difference dwarfs every other cost in the comparison.
Reconstitution is a blending step, not a process. Roughly five parts water to one part concentrate returns it to 11-12% Brix, and the ratio holds batch to batch because the Brix band is tight at two points.
What you trade is aroma. Concentrating means boiling water off under vacuum, and the volatile compounds that give orange its character leave with it. For a product that will be sweetened, blended or carbonated anyway, that loss is rarely noticed. For a premium single-fruit drink it is, which is why we supply NFC alongside.
Holding the Band Across a Long Season
Egyptian orange runs December through May. Six months is a long crop, and fruit at the start of a season is not the same as fruit at the end — sugar climbs and acid falls as the harvest matures.
For concentrate that variation has to be managed rather than passed on. A buyer reconstituting to a fixed target needs the Brix band to hold, because a drift of two points changes the dilution ratio their line is calibrated for.
We blend across the season to hold 63-65% rather than quoting a nominal figure, and the acid ratio stays within 11 to 15 so the reconstituted juice tastes consistent from one shipment to the next.
Acidity runs 0.72 to 1.0 with pH between 3.30 and 3.70, the natural range for Egyptian orange with no correction applied. Aseptically packed, the concentrate holds 18 months at ambient temperature with no refrigeration in transit or storage.
