A Single Month

Peach runs for one month in Egypt — June — and that is the shortest window of anything we process.

For a buyer that means volume is committed before the season rather than ordered against demand. There is no second crop, no overlap with another region, and no way to top up a shortfall later in the year. Manufacturers running peach continuously plan the full year against four weeks of fruit.

What the short window buys is uniformity. Everything in a season’s production comes from the same few weeks of harvest, so batch-to-batch variation is narrower than it would be across a staggered crop. The purée you open in November matches the one you opened in July.

Where Peach Sits

At 10-12% Brix peach sits between strawberry at 7-9% and mango at 14-16%. That middle position is what makes it useful as a blending fruit rather than only a headline one.

The acidity runs at or below 1.0, higher than mango and close to strawberry, and the ratio lands at 10 or above. In practice that means peach carries enough sharpness to cut through dairy fat without the sugar load that mango brings, which is why it appears so often in yogurt and in multi-fruit nectar blends.

Colour holds at a soft orange rather than the deep gold of mango. For a manufacturer blending several fruits, that lighter tone matters — peach lifts a blend without taking over the colour of the finished product the way a stronger purée would.

The fruit is heat treated, filter finished and sterilised with no additives or preservatives.
